School Philosophy
At Saint Martha School, the focus is to educate the whole child. Our commitment is to enrich each child’s spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional and social development. By nurturing strong Catholic virtues and moral values each student is prepared to enter into an ever changing society. The ultimate goal is to inspire every child to reach his/her fullest potential.
Recognizing that parents are the primary educators of the child we strive to work cooperatively with families to reinforce the Catholic principles being taught at home. Students learn how to help their neighbors, be kind, patient, and responsible – to imitate Christ in all they do. The Gospel tenets of Jesus are the roots of our daily instruction.
Saint Martha School provides a safe, loving environment for children to learn, to laugh, to pray, to grow, to make mistakes, and to accomplish wonderful things.
Mission Statement
Saint Martha School is a holistic elementary (K-8) educational institution rooted in the Catholic Faith, which serves students of diverse religious, ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. We provide quality education through a balanced focus upon faith and academics. We foster Christ-like attitudes, morals, personal and public prayer, and the reinforcement of Catholic values begun in the home. Our strong academic program uses technology to provide students with the skills necessary to live in an ever-changing world. Saint Martha School is unique because of its global social justice activities, which help students realize their responsibility as stewards of God's community. The church is both physically and spiritually the heart of the school, thereby allowing integration of religious instruction and practice.
